This Sterling Silver charm represents the Lucky Cat, also called Maneki Neko, which is literally translated to "beckoning cat". The image of the waving cat originated in Japan, but has spread across Asia. This friendly cat is considered to be a symbol of good luck, money and wealth, and is found at the entrance to many businesses, waving at passersby to welcome them inside.
FINISH: This piece is blackened and matte finished. This is our signature finish and is ideal for reading the lettering and seeing the small details. We recommend a blackened or oxidized finish for all of our hand stamped Jewellery, but we will do a shiny finish by request.
