Egyptian Eye of Horus Protection Necklace

The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection and wholeness or good health. This symbol also known as the "all seeing eye" is used to ensure the safety and health of the wearer, and to provide wisdom and prosperity. It is said to ward off illness and return the dead to life, symbolizing everlasting life in the next world. The design itself is very precise. The eye is made up of six different parts, each corresponding to the six senses - touch, taste, hearing, thought, sight, smell. These same six parts were used as units of measurement. Together they are called the Wadjet or "Whole One".

 

This Eye of Horus pendant is carved by hand and cast in silver, and comes with a card describing its meaning.
